Pingdingshan

Pingdingshan is a massive coal producing belt in Henan province, central China. It is situated approximately 120 kilometers south of the provincial capital of Zhengzhou. The output of the area warranted a srawling railway system with over 30 locomotives and became the last place in China to see the three major types of steam locomotives working side by side. I spent a little over a week in this place and it will remain my favourite of all the steam systems visited over my steam trips. RIP steam in Pingdingshan.
