The KTT (Kowloon Through Train) is a train set used by the KCR (MTR since 2005 after the MCR/MTR merger) in Hong Kong on the cross-boundary service to Guangzhou route. The two locomotives used are Swiss built Re 460 electric locomotives and are used in push-pull configuration. Usually the train runs with seven of the twelve available cars, however this is sometimes extended to nine cars during peak season. The passenger cars are built by the Japanese company Kinki Sharyo. There are two classes on the Ktt - first & premium. The service began in 1998.
