HXD1B Class electric locomotives

The HXD series (known as 'harmony') are the most modern electric locomotives in China set to replace the ShaoShan series. They seem to lack the flair of many of the SS series, however they are certianly imposing and impressive beasts. The HXD1B's are now the most powerful single locomotive in the world (along with the HXD2B and HXD3B) thumping out 12874hp/9600kw! They weigh 150 tons, giving an axle load of 25 tonnes each and have a top speed of 120kph. These are starting to eat into the bulk of the freight traffic on electrified lines and I believe it will be only a few years before they make up the bulk of it, leaving the classic ShaoShan's in history.
