Wangkui Tielu is my second attempt at building a Chinese layout. It has succeeded the Bai Long railway, which was abandoned for a number of reasons, ranging from poor foundation to lack of operational possibilities, not to mention being my first layout - the mistakes made were endless. I was very fortunate in 2005 to meet my good friend, Peter Oetterli, who has provided endless assistance, great ideas and a lot of learning. This has resulted in a very professionally built layout which promises to bring years of enjoyment.
